This is a new program for Kesher this year, and we’re thrilled to be offering it as a meaningful extension of our learning community beyond the classroom. We’ll also be joined by students from IKAR and Hamakom, and we’re already hearing how much students and families love this kind of immersive, joyful Jewish weekend experience.

Will there be transportation to and from camp?
NO, parents are responsible for bringing their child TO Camp Alonim as well as pick up on Sunday morning at 11:00 AM. We encourage families to carpool when possible.

Who is invited? Is there a cost?
The retreat is open to any 3rd–7th grade students, with the following registration options:

• $350 per child for students enrolled in Kesher

• $400 per child for students NOT enrolled in Kesher/children from non–Adat Ari El families

What does adult presence look like? Do you need chaperons?

Rabbi Holtzman and Heather Friedman will both be there for the retreat along with the staff of JCA Shalom.

What should I do if my child takes medication?
We will have a nurse on-site throughout the weekend to dispense medications and attend to any medical needs. 
Please complete the Medication Verification form and attach it to your child’s medication in its original container (we recommend putting both the form and medication in a ziplock bag to avoid confusion).

Notify Heather directly of any needs your child may have so she can communicate with JCA staff in advance.
