Who We Are
Our dynamic Early Childhood Center offers a warm, nurturing, and innovative approach to education for children ages 2 months to 5 years old. Our program celebrates the creative and intellectual development of each individual child with an emphasis on Jewish identity, values, and community. Every child is unique with their own interests, learning style, growth timetable, and culture. Learning takes place through our developmentally-based, Reggio Emilia inspired program that values the child's innate curiosity, ability and creativity and need for meaningful relationships with their peers. These daily opportunities enable children to develop a strong sense of community, self-reliance, and the ability to think critically - all of which are necessary in order to thrive throughout life.
The ECC is comprised of four unique entities:
The NEST is currently the only full time Jewish infant day care program in the east San Fernando Valley for children ages 2 months - 2 years old. Our approach is based on Judaic values and traditions as well as the RIE and Reggio Emilia philosophies.
The Preschool meets the developmental needs of children ages 2-5 years old. We offer a warm, integrated, general and Judaic program drawing on the philosophy of Reggio Emilia.
The Parent & Me Program provides an opportunity for parents to come together with their infants and toddlers in a nurturing and friendly environment led by a qualified professional.
Camp Sababa is our Preschool Summer Camp that runs for 8 weeks in June-August.
Children are welcomed into our Preschool and Parent & Me programs three times throughout the year - September, January, and June. The NEST offers ongoing enrollment as openings fluctuate and we always have an ongoing waiting list for families who are interested in the program. Priority status is provided to currently enrolled students, siblings, Parent & Me participants, and Synagogue members.
