School News & Updates

Check out this week's ADAT Newsroom

ADAT Newsroom will return after Spring Break!

A Note From Our Parent Association:

Dear Parents,

It is that time of year when we gather with family and friends to celebrate our collective journey from slavery to freedom and acknowledge another year's passing with the coming of spring.  Right around the corner will be Teacher Appreciation Week.  As we won't have a lot of time to prepare when we return, we are respectfully asking you for a favor over the break.

The annual teacher lunch will happen in early May (stay tuned for volunteer opportunities).  Traditionally, we have collected handmade cards, made by the kids, to give out teachers.  So, please arrange for your child(ren) to make cards for their core teachers (General Studies and Hebrew/Judaic Studies) as well as a few extras for specialist teachers, assistants, administrators, support staff in the office, or maintenance staff.  And, if you can, have your kids make the extra cards (some with names and some without) so that we can distribute them to teachers who may not have gotten enough from some students.  If you have any questions about for whom to make cards, please let us know.  Cards are due on April 29. Please  drop them at the office with Debra as soon as you can.

The Parents Association wishes you all a happy and kosher Pesach.  May your matzah be crisp, your wine overflowing, and charoset sweet.

Chag Sameach and Shabbat Shalom,

Natalie Sirin and Leora Smith, Presidents

Dana Friedman, Teacher Appreciation Chair

In the Community

Do you know a business or individual who would be super stoked to be an event sponsor (including yourself)?
We have a number of sponsorship opportunities to support this awesome event, and ultimately, our school.

Become a Sponsor

You won't want to miss this memorable evening of

Dinner • Cocktails • Dancing • Lots of FUN

All proceeds form the Annual Celebration directly support our Day School scholarship program. Achieving our fundraising goals means that we can afford current students the opportunity to continue on their ADAT journey. It also means that we can attract new students who might not have otherwise considered Jewish education because a scholarship makes an ADAT education more accessible. We thank you in advance for your support.

We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Havdalah Highlights

We start each week gathered together as a school for a Havdalah ceremony, during which we highlight students who we have noticed acting in ways that carry out our mission. Because we are so proud of our students, we wanted to share their stories with you!

Aidan L. from kindergarten loves animals! He said “let's help the chimpanzees survive

in the jungle! Let's let them play and watch them play! "

Oriel L. from first grade comforted a friend when she was sad during class time.

Ben M. and Daniella W. In TK helped pick up papers that fell on the ground.

Daniella W. In TK serves others by always bringing flowers for our Shabbat table.

William S. in TK helped clean up water that a friend had accidentally spilled.
