Summer camp is happening, and it's going to be amazing! This summer's camp experience will include challah baking every Friday, Jewish song and dance, great field trips and design thinking projects. We will also have daily swimming, occasional sweet treats, live animal visits, sports, art, and more. Many of the kids' favorite counselors will be returning. It promises to be a terrific summer!
The weeks of camp are: June 17-21; June 24-28; July 1-5; July 8-12; 15-19; 22-26; and July 29-August 2.
Race to nowhere - Film Screening
The Festifun show will be held for the sixth year on March 31, 2019.
This year we received special treatment and every family whose children attend our school will receive a CD with songs and a DVD of the show by buying tickets for the show.
Tickets for the families of our school community will be sold at a discounted rate for seats located in the gallery.
The ticket price is $35 per child or adult.
All those who choose to purchase tickets in the hall complex will still be entitled to receive the CD and DVD as a gift.
Please contact Naama Malka with questions (818) 269-7451.

Mental Health First Aide (MHFA)
2-Day Course
Just as a first aid class helps one to respond in a medical emergency, mental health first aid helps people learn how to respond to a mental health crisis. Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This 8-hour training, broken down into two four hours classes, gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

Havdalah Highlights
We start each week gathered together as a school for a Havdalah ceremony, during which we highlight students who we have noticed acting in ways that carry out our mission. Because we are so proud of our students, we wanted to share their stories with you!
2nd grader Idan M. and 1st grader Joel G. helped Zoe in the office during our prospective student play date get snack ready and play with one of the prospective student siblings to make sure he had a fantastic time.
1st grader Ace F. worked extremely hard to make his IGD performance as fantastic as possible. He served as a role model for his classmates many times during practice and would often help his peers remember dance moves and lyrics.
1st grader Shane G. has been a wonderful new addition to our class. He is a difference maker who always volunteers to help his classmates with their work and consistently greets his friends with a smile.
1st grader Zoe S. rushed to help her teachers multiple times when things were dropped. She is always the first to make sure our class is clean and safe.
