During this time of year, we think about the past and look to the future.

As the new Student Council advisor, I spent many hours thinking about ways I can make the experience valuable for all the students who wish to participate.  When I first envisioned the “new” student council, I really wanted to be able to open up the experience to more students than there had been in previous years.  Together with our...Read more...

Sukkot Message

Judaism places a lot of value on hospitality.  In Genesis 18 we read “And he (Abraham) lifted up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground”.  When Abraham saw these men standing before him he literally ran to go and invite them into this tent.

Sukkot celebrates the gathering of the harvest and commemorates the miraculous protection God provided for the children of Israel when they left Egypt.  This Sunday marks the beginning of the weeklong celebration of Sukkot. Sukkot is associated with hospitality. We welcome friends, family, and the community into our sukkah and we visit others.Read more...

Dear Adat Ari El Families,

In the beginning of the school year, I wrote about the beauty of Shabbat Under the Stars and the power that we have to make our community a Kehillah Kedosha.  I wrote this then " not knowing just how special the community of Adat Ari El really is. As we come to the end of my first full year with the Day School, I am blown away with the dedication and love that the community...Read more...
