Snacks and Lunch

All food items should be prepared and provided by the families and in accordance with our Synagogue’s kashrut policies. This means that all food sent MUST BE dairy or parve. Meat products of any kind, including chicken and other poultry, are not permitted.  We also have a strict nut policy - not nuts of any kind are allowed.  This includes peanut butter and almond butter.  Sunflower butter is ok.  Children will eat lunches on individual placemats / marked areas to help define personal space.

Please pack lunches and snacks with ease of use and consumption in mind.  For example:

  • We encourage bento boxes or other divided containers
  • We will be unable to heat up food (use a thermos)
  • We are unable to store lunches in class refrigerators (use ice packs)

Classrooms may eat lunch inside or outside and when there is more than one group in an area, space between classes will be maintained and/or a rotating schedule of inside and outside lunch times.

Each child’s lunch box should be clearly labeled on the outside. No snacks will be provided by Adat+.  Please send your child with adequate food for the amount of time they will be with us.  This includes extra snacks in addition to lunch.

Please send your child with a full, reusable water bottle each day.  There will be opportunities to refill bottles throughout the day.
