Tea and Cake Book Club
Join the Sisterhood for the Tea and Cake Book Club, a delightful gathering open to teens and adults, held in the Wellness Room following Kiddush lunch. Relax with fragrant teas and delicious pastries as we explore books with Jewish themes, diving into engaging discussions about the short story reading for the day. Whether you’re a literary enthusiast or simply looking to connect with others over thoughtful conversation, this warm and welcoming club is the perfect way to enrich your Shabbat experience. Book titles will be provided on this page in advance, so come prepared for a relaxing afternoon of tea, treats, and meaningful discussion.

We'll discuss "The Pickpocket," by American writer Naomi Benaron. With great trepidation, Gabriel Metzl returns to Prague, his childhood home, 64 years after the Nazis sent him, his family and other members of the Jewish community to concentration camps. Prague's Astronomical Clock plays a central role in the plot. You can watch some entertaining videos about the clock and its history on YouTube.
